If you are currently experiences bad weather then why not curl up in your favorite chair and read a good book? When it is raining outside there is nothing better than a cup of my favorite hot beverage and a good story to help pass the time. Since we haven’t received any emails from any of our fellow fans yet I thought I would ask a question of my own.
Does anybody know anything about this Foul Play Press who released 5 of Ms. Comforts stories in eBook format and are charging $18 a copy? I cannot find a website for them on the internet anywhere. I just checked on Amazon and here is the listings for eBook versions of only 5 of her stories:
Phoebe’s Knee $18.00
Grave Consequences $14.99
Elusive Quarry $18.95
The Cashmere Kid $18.00
A Pair for the Queen $18.00
They are listed as being part of Countryman Press, Inc but they have been bought out by WW Norton & Company, Inc out of New York. So I really wonder who is getting the royalties for the eBooks and why would they price them so much higher than any other eBook currently on the market except for text books? Without a way to contact anyone we cannot ask if they are going to publish the rest of her stories in eBook format or even if they are ever going to reduce the prices so that more people would be willing to buy them.
Oh, well that is my rant for today. We would still love to hear from you. Fan fiction and Fan Art to share with your fellow fans would also be greatly appreciated. So use our CONTACT US form and we will post the responses in our next blog post.
Till next time!

Tish McWhinny mystery series if finally available in eBook format on Amazon Kindle. We have checked with Overdrive and they are also available on their system for those of you who would like to pursue their local libraries in getting a copy. If you want them in your library you will need to keep pestering them until they buy them. Then you can post their availability to all of your friends and family.
Sadly, we will probably not get all of her wonderful books in eBook format and the ones who haven’t been converted are very hard to find. If anyone has copies of At Loggerheads or any of the Liz Bell books and would like to send a synopsis and cast of characters listing we would be very grateful. Please go to our CONTACT US page and send us a note.

Liz Bell versus Tish McWhinney would that be a great storyline? I haven’t been able to find the Liz Bell books to read so I am asking all the Barbara Comfort fans out there would these two characters come together in a story as adversaries or would they be able to work together to solve a mystery? Wouldn’t you like to see a story with both of these characters in it. This author and these characters deserved to be remember and we are sure that there are a couple of fans would go put together a story line that us fellow fans would appreciate and even could contribute to. Just because the author is no longer with us doesn’t mean that her fans cannot create some great fan fiction and share them with the rest of us. Continue reading “Liz Bell versus Tish McWhinney”

Sorry this posting is a little late being sent out but I hope everyone gets it okay. We are collecting our favorite quotes from the Tish McWhinny books and for those who actually know Barbara Comfort we would like your input as well. Every story that you read and character that you enjoy reading over and over again says some pretty remarkable things. Some of the sayings maybe something that you would really like to remember and use in your own day-to-day life.
It doesn’t matter what the quote is about only that it sticks in your mind and you think it is memorable enough to share. Once we have gathered about 20 or 30 of them I will put them in a database and they will begin running on the sidebar. You can post your own quotes in the comments section, in a guestbook entry or even emailing it to me. Remember to tell us which book it was in and which character said it. It doesn’t necessarily have to be from the main character to be memorable. It is always fun to read quotes from different people and we look forward to hearing from you real soon!
