We here in Florida are having a really warm and rainy summer this year. It would be really nice to spend a little time up in the mountains of Vermont instead. Instead I am sitting in the air conditioning and updating our website as there have been some changes made to our advertising that helps keep this website going. Also, Amazon is no longer supporting the bookstore pages so we have had to delete that page and change all the links to the books on each of the pages. You will probably notice that the titles of each of the books are a different color as they are now linked directly to the selling page for that book. If you haven’t read some of the books written by Ms. Comfort we hope this will help you get your very own copy to read. Of course, should you buy one of these books are are willing to write up a detailed synopsis and a cast of characters then send it to use we would be greatly appreciate it.
We are also always looking for Fan Fiction using any of the characters in her stories to share with the rest of her fans on our site. Just send them using our CONTACT US form and we will feature them on one of our news and updates in the future. Finally, if you have some stories to share about the author and/or pictures we hope you will share them with us as well.
If you are currently experiences bad weather then why not curl up in your favorite chair and read a good book? When it is raining outside there is nothing better than a cup of my favorite hot beverage and a good story to help pass the time. Since we haven’t received any emails from any of our fellow fans yet I thought I would ask a question of my own.
Does anybody know anything about this Foul Play Press who released 5 of Ms. Comforts stories in eBook format and are charging $18 a copy? I cannot find a website for them on the internet anywhere. I just checked on Amazon and here is the listings for eBook versions of only 5 of her stories:
Phoebe’s Knee $18.00
Grave Consequences $14.99
Elusive Quarry $18.95
The Cashmere Kid $18.00
A Pair for the Queen $18.00
They are listed as being part of Countryman Press, Inc but they have been bought out by WW Norton & Company, Inc out of New York. So I really wonder who is getting the royalties for the eBooks and why would they price them so much higher than any other eBook currently on the market except for text books? Without a way to contact anyone we cannot ask if they are going to publish the rest of her stories in eBook format or even if they are ever going to reduce the prices so that more people would be willing to buy them.
Oh, well that is my rant for today. We would still love to hear from you. Fan fiction and Fan Art to share with your fellow fans would also be greatly appreciated. So use our CONTACT US form and we will post the responses in our next blog post.
Vermont writers needed to contribute some fan fiction with the character Tish McWhinney series or even the Liz Bell stories within your storyline. We would be happy to post it here and feature any of your other writings in an article. It is a great chance to advertise your work and possibly get some new fans for yourself. Just type it up in a text file or WORD document and send it directly to our email at: jolene dot macfadden at barbaracomfort dot info

Liz Bell versus Tish McWhinney would that be a great storyline? I haven’t been able to find the Liz Bell books to read so I am asking all the Barbara Comfort fans out there would these two characters come together in a story as adversaries or would they be able to work together to solve a mystery? Wouldn’t you like to see a story with both of these characters in it. This author and these characters deserved to be remember and we are sure that there are a couple of fans would go put together a story line that us fellow fans would appreciate and even could contribute to. Just because the author is no longer with us doesn’t mean that her fans cannot create some great fan fiction and share them with the rest of us. Continue reading “Liz Bell versus Tish McWhinney”
